A woman over 40 can eat healthy, exercise often and have great self-discipline but if her hormones are out of balance, she may never achieve the goals she’s working toward.

It’s not your fault that your hormones are out of whack!  In our modern world, many things can disrupt the delicate balance in our bodies.  In this program, we will do a deep dive into some of those things that might be preventing you from sleeping well, losing stubborn body fat, and feeling your best self.  We will address things that have the most impact on hormones such as stress, toxins, diet, sleep, and exercise.

If you’re a woman over 40 then you may have already noticed that your body isn’t what it used to be.  Your hair is thinner, your sleep is suffering, and nothing you do seems to help eliminate those few extra pounds you’re carrying around.

When your hormones are out of control then all your body systems can become impaired. Even if you are living a balanced lifestyle with mostly healthy choices, you could still be exposing yourself to toxins that cause your hormones to fall out of balance.

There is hope though! There is a way to restore balance to your body and your life.  But I’ll be honest, it’s not a quick fix!  It will take some effort on your part to establish the proper habits, lifestyle changes and mindset to be successful.

To keep the coaching groups small and worthwhile for each individual, available spots in this program are limited.  These 1-hour virtual coaching sessions are facilitated by me: a holistic health coach, nutritionist and trained facilitator.  We are all busy and have 1 million things on our to do lists.  My objective is to make the most of our time together with an effective discussion to ensure maximum support, education and accountability for each participant.   I will also assign homework assignments for you to work on between sessions. 

Program Overview

Coaching sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 10am (MST) and Thursdays at 4pm (MST) starting the week of June 2 and ending the week of August 18.  You’ll have the opportunity to select your preferred time slot when you enroll in the program.  

All sessions will be conducted on Zoom and will be recorded for those who may have to miss a session.  Recordings will only be shared with your fellow session participants. 

WEEKS 1-4: Detoxify.

The first 4 weeks will focus on eliminating toxins in our bodies, minds and lives in order to remove things that are not serving us, and to support our natural detoxification mechanisms.  I will guide participants through a 4-week gentle (and practical) detox protocol which includes a 4-week meal plan and a daily habit challenge. 

  • Week 1: Goal setting and overview of the 4-week cleansing protocol
  • Week 2: How to identify, manage and reduce stress
  • Week 3: Reducing your exposure to toxins in your life
  • Week 4: Eliminating overwhelm in a world of information overload

WEEKS 5-8: Nourish.

The next 4 weeks we will focus on both food and non-food ways to nourish ourselves the way that nature intended so that we can support our body’s natural biological functions and become the best version of ourselves.  

  • Week 1: Nourishing with the 5 categories of nutrients
  • Week 2: Establishing a healthy relationship with food, and mindful eating
  • Week 3: Non-food ways to nourish your body, mind and soul
  • Week 4: Optimizing your nourishment with biohacks

WEEKS 9-12: Transform.

The last 4 weeks of this program will focus on implementing lifestyle changes that will transform our bodies, minds and lives.  I will provide you with a 4-week meal plan, and a 4-week exercise program designed to help you gain muscle and lose body fat.  I will also help you upgrade your mindset to improve your chances of success by focusing on self-confidence, self-awareness and self-discipline.

  • Week 3: The key qualities of a bulletproof mindset

MEET YOUR COACH

Hi, I'm Karen.

I opened my coaching practice in 2015 as a nutrition coach and personal trainer.  Since then I have been helping women of all ages to achieve their health, fitness and performance-based goals.  

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Environmental Studies, and a Master’s in Environmental Science.  I also hold certifications in raw nutrition, integrated nutrition, holistic health counseling, and sports nutrition. 

I believe in a “roots-first” approach which means that the answer to most of the problems we face today can be resolved by reconnecting with our natural roots.  These roots include the way we were designed, or have evolved, as humans.  By learning more about our evolutionary roots, we can learn how merge them with our modern society and live a lifestyle that preserves our physical and emotional health rather than degrades it.

Yes! I first launched the Life Renovation Program in 2012 with in-person groups and since then have moved my operation online.  he whole time I’ve been using this 3-step approach (detoxify, nourish, transform) to help my clients achieve their goals. With my experience as a certified coach and a trained facilitator whose main goal is for this program to work for you.

You’ll learn everything you need to know to balance hormones naturally, delay aging, and lose stubborn body fat.  This investment will save you an incredible amount of time, energy and money in the long run!

As long as you follow through with my recommendations, you’ll see immediate results during the detoxify phase since all participants will be guided through a gentle detoxification protocol. 

Some women may experience increased energy, improved mood, decreased cravings, better skin, better sleep, and better digestion.

One of the reasons I prefer to work with clients for 3 months is that this is the ideal period of time to start seeing results of your actions.  This time period allows you to establish new habits, and see the benefit of lifestyle changes.  

The actual results will vary but with a little self-discipline, I guarantee you’ll start to experience them during this program! 

This program is 12-weeks long.  During each 1-hour coaching session, we will meet for 1 hour to discuss the weekly content and check in on your progress.  

The self-paced content and assigned pre-work shouldn’t take you more than 1 hour per week to complete.

Yes!  Included in your program is a 30-minute private coaching session to dig deeper into habits and lifestyle changes that would work best for you and your goals.  If you’d like additional one-on-one time, you can schedule a time that works for you.

If you have to miss a session or two, don’t fret!  I will record your group’s coaching session and email you a link to that recording.  If there is space available in the other weekly time slot, we can move you into that one for that week.

You’re also welcome to email me any time with your pre-work or any questions that come up between coaching sessions.

You bet!  I will provide 3 4-week meal plans which correspond to each of the program phases (detoxify, nourish and transform).  The recipes in these plans will be whole-food based with natural ingredients.  They will be tailored toward meat eaters, but can be easily modified to suit a plant-based diet.  If you ever have any questions on ingredient substitutes, email me and I’d be happy to provide recommendations.

You will have access to the program’s videos for 1 year.  You will have access to my resource library, which includes dozens of downloadable cheat sheets, tracking worksheets and guides, for the entire 12 weeks that you are enrolled in my program.

I will send you a link to my Zoom meeting room and you’ll join at your scheduled time.  The content of each session will vary based on the participants, but the structure of the calls will remain relatively the same from week to week.

During the first session, we will start with some brief introductions and go through an exercise together to get very clear on our goals.  You’ll share your goals with me and the rest of your small group, and I’ll provide some recommendations for how you can successfully achieve those.   This is also when you will kick-off your 4-week detox protocol so I’ll provide an overview of that and be available to answer any questions.

After that, each session will start with an accountability check in on each participant’s progress.  Then I’ll provide a quick overview of that week’s content and answer any questions you may have about about applying it to your life.  We will wrap up each session by sharing actions that we are committing to before next week’s session.
